Qian Wenwen

Wenwen Qian is a lecturer at Nanjing University of the Arts and serves as Deputy Director of the International Centre for Peace Art. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Art Design from Nanjing University of the Arts, specializing in visual communication. His work integrates academic research with professional design practice, contributing to the development and international dissemination of design knowledge. His design projects have been recognized by major international competitions, including the iF Design Award (Germany, 2025), Red Dot Design Award (Germany, 2024), A’ Design Award, Bronze (Italy, 2024), and the International Design Awards, Gold (USA, 2024). At the International Centre for Peace Art, Wenwen Qian has planned and executed five editions of the Nanjing International Peace Poster Biennale (2017, 2019, 2021, 2023, 2025), promoting international cultural dialogue and multidisciplinary engagement in art and design. His combined experience in academia and internationally awarded design practice equips him with a research-informed, multidisciplinary perspective suitable for professional design evaluation and jury work. The visual design for the Henry Moore exhibition showcases a comprehensive approach, featuring traditional materials such as posters and tickets. Additionally, a unique collection of cultural and creative products has been designed exclusively for the exhibition. This collection includes children's pencils and drawing books inspired by Henry Moore's iconic sculptures. By transforming his sculptural works into engaging drawing books, the designs aim to spark creativity and imagination in children, making art more accessible and interactive for younger audiences.

Book Design
This book is based on the unique position of Nanjing University of the Art (NUA) in the history of Chinese art education and cultural development. It aims to present a comprehensive overview of the school's history and the achievements of its teachers and students. It selects important historical documents, works by teachers and students, and utilizes various threads to highlight NUA's role as a pioneer in higher art education in modern China. It utilizes off-white artistic paper and adopts the format of an old-fashioned calendar, presenting a unique texture reminiscent of that era.
